House Republicans have passed legislation that would be the largest redistribution of income and wealth in American history—from the poor and working class to the rich and super-rich.

If this bill passes the Senate, it would be the largest Medicaid cut in history AND the largest tax cut for the wealthy in history. And when the bill goes into effect, it would trigger the largest, across-the-board Medicare cut in history.

These cuts would kick 13.7 million people off their health insurance; cut SNAP benefits (food stamps) and put food out of reach for struggling families; drive more people into poverty; and raise costs for students, workers, and seniors.

We still have a chance to speak out and demand our government serve everyone—not just the wealthiest few. The super-rich don't need another handout. But millions of American families do need health care, food—and a fair shot at getting ahead.
