It’s a $100 MILLION+ project to stroke the ego of a man who dreams of ruling like a dictator.

The Pentagon is coordinating with the White House and early discussions are already underway to plan a huge military spectacle later this summer. The latest plans include tanks rolling through DC streets, uniformed soldiers marching past the White House, and fighter jets screaming overhead to recognize the Army’s 250th anniversary on June 14, and perhaps not uncoincidentally, celebrate Trump’s 79th birthday.

But here’s the thing: This parade simply cannot happen without support and cooperation from DC officials.

DC Mayor Muriel Bowser, alongside the DC Council, has the power to put up bureaucratic roadblocks at every turn, from requiring Trump’s team to cover the costs of police, security overtime, and road repairs, to guarantees protestors won’t be arrested or brutalized.

It’s all to say, there’s INCREDIBLE leverage to stop Trump’s tank party in its tracks.

But DC can’t stop this parade alone: If we’re going to stop Trump again, Mayor Bowser needs to go toe-to-toe with the White House — an intimidating proposition for anyone. To do it, she’ll need to know that people across the country are with her — and that’s where you come in.
