Nurses and midwives have sacrificed a lot through this pandemic. It’s hard to believe the NSW Government wants us to do even more for less.

The government is still trying to freeze wages for all public sector workers, including nurses and midwives. It’s cruel and it hurts. We have sacrificed so much during COVID-19 and should not be left out of pocket.

Honouring the 2.5% increase means public sector workers can continue to spend wages in local shops and business, and support the community as we all recover together.

We are urging Premier Berejiklian and the NSW Government to abandon their plans to freeze the wages for the entire public sector. This is a slap in the face to the frontline and public sector workers who got us through this pandemic and will damage our economy even further.
