Support Alameda County Immigrant Rapid Response

The Trump administration was planning Operation Mega, a huge ICE operation that would sweep up thousands of immigrants to detain and deport. After negative publicity when the plans leaked, ICE said the operation was cancelled. But we know that our immigrant communities are still under threat from this white supremacist administration.

You can help defend immigrant families by supporting the Alameda County Immigrant Legal Education Partnership (ACILEP), a network of several immigrant rights organizations that provides rapid response and legal services for families targeted by ICE activity.

There are two ways to support:

1)  Join us for an ACILEP outreach day. We will distribute hotline flyers and know your rights pamphlets throughout Alameda County the next two weekends.  All language capacities welcome.
  • Saturday 9/16, 10am-1pm -- Meet outside Fruitvale BART station (look for ACILEP sign)
  • Sunday 9/24, 12:30pm-3:30pm -- Meet outside Coliseum BART station (look for ACILEP sign)

2)  Sign up for an ACILEP Rapid Response Training for Volunteer Legal Observers. Legal observers respond to ICE activity and help document any ICE abuse.
  • Tuesday, October 3rd, 6-9pm @ SEIU-USWW, Fruitvale, Oakland
  • Saturday, October 7th, 10am-1pm @ TBD
