Support Collective Bargaining Rights in Norfolk, VA

Every day, City of Norfolk employees work hard providing the services that keep our city strong. Our work is often overlooked and undervalued. Public service workers across Virginia make 18% less on average than our counterparts in the private sector. That’s why we are coming together in support of the right to collectively bargain. With a voice on the job, we can have a say in everything from pay and benefits, to transparency in promotions, to improvements in the quality of services we provide. The Virginia legislature in late fall of 2019 passed legislation that gave city and county employees the power to organize and collectively bargain. Virginia employees now have the right to win binding employment contracts. We have a true voice in decision making.
