On November 13th, the members of New York state's Public Financing Commission will hold their final public hearing. This commission SHOULD be focused on enacting a robust system of fair elections that would finally take on the corrupting influence of big money in politics.

But instead, the New York Times reports that Gov. Cuomo is trying to "push a proposal that would essentially neuter almost all third parties, crippling [WFP] but also potentially helping conservatives.”

With the 2020 election just a year away, it is outrageous that Gov. Cuomo would act to empower the right wing at the expense of our progressive movement.
