We only have until the end of March to make sure that our elected officials in Albany include a small donor matching program in the state budget. The Governor, the Senate, and the Assembly all included small donor matching in their budget priorities, yet some have suggested it could get taken out of the final budget. As leaders head into the final budget negotiations, we’ve got to keep up the pressure when it counts

A 6-to-1 small dollar matching program would give everyday New Yorkers a voice to push back against big donors who have way too much say over our rent laws, health care, education, and much more.

With small donor matching, our elected officials would listen to us and not just big money donors.

If the final budget doesn't include small donor matching, it’s because those in power decided to take it out and accept the big money status quo.
