New Yorkers voted for a Democratic State Senate. The only reason Republicans have control is because of support from a handful of Senators -- the Independent Democratic Conference (IDC) -- who were elected as Democrats but have formed an alliance with Republicans.

We can’t afford to let Republicans control the New York State Senate. Not for one more legislative session. Not for one more state budget. We need a progressive majority now.
