Now, we need President Biden and his administration to do everything in their power to protect people who want or need abortions.

As both Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Senator Elizabeth Warren have advocated, the Biden Administration can open abortion clinics on federal lands in states with abortion bans, bringing necessary care back to people living in those states.

Because there is a precedent that federal lands are not necessarily governed by all of a state’s laws, according to an article in Vox, opening clinics on federal land could provide a safe haven of healthcare for people in red states.

By opening clinics on federal land, the Biden Administration can bring life-saving healthcare to millions of people in red states, mitigating the harm done by the Supreme Court’s reversal of Roe v. Wade.
