Billionaire Republican mega-donor Harlan Crow is refusing to disclose a list of gifts he gave to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. For the past 20 years, Harlan Crow has used his untaxed wealth to gift Justice Thomas and his family luxury yacht trips, private jet travel, and resort vacations. This is in addition to buying property from the Thomas family and paying the private school tuition for the Justice’s grandnephew.

Our democracy is not for sale, but some of the ultra-wealthy, like Harlan Crow, believe it should be.

Since both Justice Thomas and Harlan Crow are refusing to voluntarily disclose the decades of gifts and cash they exchanged, it is up to the Senate Finance Committee Chairman, Senator Ron Wyden to subpoena Crow and compel him to testify under oath.

Since these gifts to Supreme Court Justices and their families could be possible campaign finance violations too, the Senate Finance Committee must also do their due diligence and investigate -- even if it means subpoenaing Crow’s financial records.

The American public’s faith in the Supreme Court is at its lowest level in decades.
