Tell your senator to support SB 1031

Please call and urge your State Senator to support SB 1031, a transformative piece of legislation for Bay Area public transportation.

If passed, SB 1031 would authorize the Bay Area to put a ballot measure on the November 2026 ballot, raising between $1 - 1.5 billion annually to expand transit service, create a well-connected, integrated network for all users and all trip types, and fund active transportation improvements throughout the region.

For members that have not made their support known:

Hi, my name is xxxx and I am a California resident living in [city]. [Talk about your experience with transit and how it impacts you, your friends, loved ones, and community].

Please support Senator Wiener/Wahab's SB 1031, the Connect Bay Area Act. Transit is essential for our region's housing, equity, and climate goals. This bill will help transform Bay Area public transportation, drastically bolstering ridership, creating faster and better connected transit routes, and preventing furthering congestion on our roads. The authors have been and are currently working with organizations to address concerns and get to "yes".

* For Senators Wiener and Wahab, who introduced SB 1031:

Tell them thank you for introducing SB 1031 and taking measures to expand and reform Bay Area public transit! Transit is essential for our climate, housing and equity goals.
