Thank your Postal Workers and the Biden Administration: Free COVID tests are here, but not without them

The program dubbed the largest disaster-relief mobilization in the history of the USPS is here, and we now have free COVID tests sent right to our doors.

This program, initiated by the Biden administration to address the coronavirus testing shortage amid the Omicron surge, is already a success: Millions of households have already put in their order and many already have their tests in hand.

But this could not happen without our postal workers! The Postal Service has been intimately involved with the planning from the onset. For the first time ever, postal workers are packaging up the mail, not just delivering it. It's an enormous operation that requires 43 facilities across the country.

This is a herculean undertaking for postal workers, they are working under staggering worker shortages. Very recently, an all-time record of 20,623 USPS workers were in isolation due to COVID-19, making the shipping program all the more challenging. In order to accommodate for the worker shortages, USPS has retained 7,000 seasonal workers to assist in the packing and shipping of the tests.

Despite serious challenges, the Biden administration and postal workers once again delivered for the American people. That is why we want to thank them.

If you are grateful for this program and would like to submit a thank you note to the postal workers, the Biden administration, or both, please use the form to the right. We will be delivering all letters to show our support and gratitude for this HUGE undertaking.
