RSVP to attend budget hearing on June 14

When: 5 pm, Wednesday, June 14
Where: 1600 Pacific Highway
What: This is our opportunity to address the Board of Supervisors and tell them how they should spend the annual budget, which is more than $5 billion. If you think the County should stop hoarding reserves and start investing in children, seniors and families, come to the hearing and tell the Supervisors. Please note that the hearing begins at 5:30 but we recommend that you arrive at 5 pm.
Why it matters: Services in San Diego County are in crisis because of high employee turnover, chronic vacancies in critical positions and across the board short staffing.  The main problem is that San Diego wages are not competitive with other Southern California counties. The crisis hurts the most vulnerable residents of San Diego County.
