GREEN Festival AT Home: Resilient Communities

JOIN US for an online discussion with Ian Solomon-Kawall, Nannette Youssef, and Simon Shaw to explore how we can #BuildBackBetter

What is the current crisis teaching us about how much we rely on our communities? What part can each of us play in ensuring a #GreenRecovery which enhances community resilience long-term?

ABOUT THIS DIGITAL BBQ

The pandemic has demonstrated how resiliency and inclusivity are linked, so what does a resilient community look like? Can resilient communities address the environmental and climate crises too? What examples already exist which show us the path to a 'new normal'?

To discuss these questions alongside hopeful ideas for the future, we invite you to join Green Party councillor and Action on Climate Emergency Officer, Julian Dean in conversation with community activists, local councillors and citizen science project leaders to learn what building back better means from their perspective.

And then we turn the microphone over to you. We want to learn more about what is happening in your community and what you have learned about building resilience.

The more people who can gather live, the better for the conversation, but if you miss the BBQ, don’t worry! They will all be recorded and uploaded to The Green Living Room for you to watch at your leisure.

If you are curious about how Green Party policy supports a green recovery, each Digital BBQ episode will be followed up by a series of Podcasts to be released during the Festival at Home, which will dive deeper into how to build GREEN community, economy and democracy for our collective future.
