What is a non-target candidate?

With only 10 minutes of paperwork and two signatures, you can make a huge difference for the success of the Green Party across the South East!

A Non-Target Candidate is a candidate that stands with absolutely no campaigning or effort put into their election. This is useful for us for three reasons:

Firstly, we firmly believe that everyone should be able to vote Green. By standing in a certain area, you would be giving everyone in that area the chance to have their say in the future of your region.

Secondly, it can be really helpful for our representation. For every candidate we stand we increase our publicity - people see our names on their ballots and in their local news. So just for that, having a candidate stand without working towards their campaign can be of huge use to us!

Finally, it can be helpful for us to see where people are naturally inclined to vote Green. If we stand a non-target candidate in a certain area, we can see how many people would vote Green even if we do absolutely no campaigning! This can be useful for us when determining where to place our efforts in the future!
