The Hospitality Industry Needs Immigration Reform

As hospitality industry employers, we know that immigrants contribute vitally to the health and prosperity of the service sector. Many of our employees are beneficiaries of DACA, DAPA, and TPS, or are refugees seeking asylum because of persecution in their home countries. These employees have dedicated years—in many cases, decades—of their lives toward making our business run smoothly and serving our clientele.
Hospitality is a labor-intensive industry that we believe is essential for the functioning of our mobile, evolving society. We deeply value the contributions of our immigrant employees in keeping it running.
Therefore, we call upon the Administration and Congress to protect our industry by preserving TPS, DACA, and DAPA, and improve those programs by providing a path to citizenship, as well as to reinstate the United States Refugee Admissions Program.
