Unemployment Compensation Survey

Because of the contingent nature of their work, adjunct teachers often experience what can be classified as unemployment — especially during interims between semesters, or during the summer term. Many adjuncts don't realize they're eligible for unemployment compensation, and they do not apply. And many who apply for compensation are denied the benefit because of "reasonable assurance" of continued employment.

Adjunct Action would like to hear from you on this important issue. Knowing whether adjuncts are aware of potential benefits and applying, and whether they are being denied those benefits, can help us take action to change this situation. Please take a moment to answer the three short questions below.
