Unionize for Trans Rights
As socialists, we understand the transformative power of solidarity, in and beyond the workplace. Attacks on trans and nonbinary people are not a distracting “culture war”, but a critical terrain of class war, particularly against hyperexploited trans workers.

We want to support trans worker-organizers in building support among their coworkers, and support allies in effective support of their trans coworkers; whether they’re already unionized or just getting started. Part of that is supporting one another as organizers, sharing suggestions and lessons, and building our community.
By filling out this form, you'll let us know that you're interested in participating in this campaign! We'll follow up with you when there are events or opportunities coming up. Some of our plans:
- May 24 @ 11am: A film screening of Pride (2014) with a social to follow, discussing the film and the article "The Sting of Comrade Hornet".
- This Summer: A multi-part Unionize for Trans Rights organizer training series, combining labor education with fun socials to build a community of organizers.
- And more to come! Our Trans Rights & Bodily Autonomy Working Group and Labor Working Group are looking forward to carrying this project forward as an ongoing campaign, and one that can be shared with DSA chapters and EWOC locals across the country.
You do not need to be a DSA member to participate in this campaign, nor do you need to be trans. A commitment to trans liberation in & through the workplace, and to learning from & supporting our trans comrades, is enough.
