Volunteer for DACA Clinics (Lawyers Needed)

In response to the rescission of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), L4GG and the L4GG Foundation are coordinating with immigration groups all over the country to assist individuals and families at risk.

The most pressing need between now and October 5, 2017 is to help individuals with current DACA status expiring between now and March 5, 2018.

Renewal is still possible for those individuals, but renewal applications must be received by DHS no later than 10/5/17, so that gives us less than four weeks. Many immigration-focused organizations are organizing "rapid fire" clinics to be held between now and 10/5/17, and need attorneys to volunteer at these clinics over the next four weeks. You do not have to be an immigration lawyer; we believe it will take no more than 30 - 60 minutes of training for lawyers to be able to assist with renewal forms.

If you are willing and able to volunteer at clinics for individuals with current DACA status, either to assist with renewals between now and 10/5/17, or to assist in other ways after 10/5/17, please fill out the form on this page.

Assuming sufficient levels of interest from L4GG volunteers, we will continue to coordinate with immigration groups hosting DACA clinics to help ensure that they have the volunteer lawyers needed in various locations. Once you've filled out the form on this page, you will be notified via email as soon as we become aware of a clinic to be held in your area.
