Become a Member--Volunteer

As a member, you'll receive:

  • a subscription to our newsletter
  • notifications about news, upcoming events, and action alerts of importance to tenants
  • invites to our monthly Q&A with our Legal Department
  • counseling with our Tenant Rights Hotline

By signing up as a member-volunteer, you are committing to volunteer for Tenants Together at least 10 hours per year. Our biggest need is in outreach activities, but there are other ways to help too. Some examples:

  • Distribute flyers about Tenants Together in your community: You can spread the word about our work. Hand out 25 flyers and have 25 conversations about the work we do.
  • Host a house party: Invite friends and neighbors to an informal gathering to learn more about Tenants Together and how they can plug into the movement.
Tenants Together succeeds where local tenants to take the lead in their communities. These initial steps may seem small but they will help get you started. If you're interested in volunteering on more than an occasional basis, let us know and we'll be in touch to help you do more.
