Vote for Worker Friendly Voices at Vancouver City Hall
The City of Vancouver By-Election is taking place on April 5, and workers know we need to keep progressive voices on council. That's why we're asking you to pledge to vote for worker-friendly candidates like Lucy Maloney of OneCity and Annette Reilly of the Vancouver Greens.
Vancouverites deserve high quality services and a city where they can afford to get by.
That's not what Ken Sim and the ABC majority on council has offered. They revoked the city's Living Wage commitment and abolished the Renter's Protection Office, making it harder for workers to afford to live in the city where they work. They even refuse to build more supportive housing in Vancouver, and they are looking around for sponsorships to public parks.
Lucy Maloney is committed to the living wage, to building housing and protecting renters, to protecting the environment, and to enhancing transit accessibility. She wants to see more public infrastructure and better services that will make this city better for all of us.
Annette Reilly will build healthier, more vibrant communities with access to greenspaces and access to active transportation options. She want enhanced protections for renters, more affordable housing for all levels of income, and improved maintenance standards for rental buildings in the city.
These two will be invaluable voices for the people of Vancouver, and will fight back against the bad choices being made by Ken Sim and his ABC majority.
Pledge to vote for them today!
