WA Worker Alerts: Sign up to get updates & actions on the COVID crisis

Workers across Washington state are seeing severe impacts of the coronavirus crisis on our jobs, our health, our incomes, and our economy.

With restaurants, bars, and other businesses shut down, thousands of office workers currently working from home, public events canceled, schools closed, and “social distancing” encouraged, we are seeing dramatic decreases in demand & available work. The crisis has led to layoffs, shift cuts, sudden need for time off due to childcare responsibilities, and workers finding themselves unable to make income if they are sick or need to self-isolate.

We are advocating for emergency measures to protect workers as the crisis continues — including a moratorium on evictions, no utility shutoffs, maintenance of healthcare benefits, and emergency income assistance.

The situation for workers in WA is changing rapidly — day by day if not hour by hour.

We've set up this rapid response alert system to make sure you can share what you're experiencing on the ground and receive news alerts, calls to action, and up-to-date info on your rights & resources as our state passes new measures to protect workers during this crisis.
