Join us for a fun, community-building event to share activist art skills, clothing swap, a potluck, and warehouse cleanup from 10-4 on Sunday, Dec. 3rd!
Our Art Warehouse space is in serious need of a cleanup, given that we are most likely moving out of the space in the coming months. But we will first take the opportunity to offer an art skillshare workshop in the morning. Learn about Extinction Rebellion's art aesthetic and invaluable activist art skills such as painting, banner-making, and wheatpasting. We will follow that with a break for a potluck lunch (let us know what you plan to bring), and then spend the afternoon cleaning and organizing our space.
We are also excited to invite you to bring any clothes you no longer want for a clothing swap that we will hold simultaneously. You are welcome to adopt any garment that catches your eye and we will donate any unclaimed clothes to a thrift store afterward. If it is easy, please bring a blanket to lay clothes on.
Come for all or part of the day:
10:00-12:00PM Art Skillshare Workshop
12:00- 1:00PM Potluck
1:00-4:00PM Cleanup
Please wear protective shoes and bring work gloves and dust masks if you have them. Also, let us know in the form if you have access to a pickup truck and/or a desire to help with runs to the dump/recycling center!
