Whole Foods Flyering Campaign

Join Mass JWJ to flyer in front of Amazon-owned Whole Foods the week of Thanksgiving to thank essential workers for the work they do everyday and keep an eye on Amazon and their corporate greed.

You can find the flyer to hand out in our tool-kit. You are welcome to create a FB event and add us as co-sponsors to support in outreach, wording for the event can be found here. You can print the flyer at home or contact Yessenia Prodero at (617) 318-7994 or at yessenia@massjwj.net to have the flyer printed at your nearest Staples. Please inform her that you need flyers printed by no later than Thursday, November 18th.

Billionaires in the US have increased their net worth by more than $1tn during the coronavirus pandemic, while many of their US workers have struggled with coronavirus risks in workplaces, for little to no extra pay to work in hazardous conditions, and millions of other Americans have struggled to survive on unemployment.

Why are we flyering Whole Foods locations across the state?

Prior to the pandemic, Amazon purchased Whole Foods, yet another move to further consolidate corporate power.

We invite you to flyer your nearest Whole Foods for a couple of hours on either of the days below:

Monday, November 22nd

Tuesday, November 23rd

Wednesday, November 24th

We encourage you to bring awareness to shoppers of the exploitive and hazardous conditions Amazon and Whole Foods employees undergo. Amazon ended hazard pay in June 2020, and instead have provided sporadic one-time bonuses to workers during the pandemic. On average, Amazon workers have seen a $0.99-an-hour pay bump during the pandemic, compared with Bezos’s hourly wealth increase of $11.7m.
