Register to attend HEU’s Why Politics Matter introductory workshop, where we’ll review how politics shaped the union's history and may impact our future. We will also examine the ways senior levels of government affect our work, our communities, and our daily lives.

We’ll also explore how unions advance workers’ rights between elections to build a more just society.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Only HEU members who have NOT attended a Why Politics Matter workshop previously can apply.

Plus, members must live within 90 kms of the workshop venue.

• Lunch is provided.
• Union book off, also known as salary replacement, will be available for those who are accepted to attend the workshop.
• Per diems and accommodations will not be covered as these workshops are being delivered across the province to reach members in their home communities.
• Members unable to attend an in-person workshop can apply to participate in the November 30 online workshop.
