On December 18th, join us for our Cook County Jail Doesn’t Do Jack(sh)et: Freeze-In and Coat Drive. We are gathering at Cook County Jail to demand that they improve their release conditions, gather coats for community members that have recently been released, and highlight the injustice that is happening within the CCJ. We will be gathering in coats and wearing everyday outfits underneath them that someone could get arrested in. After that, we will remove our coats for as long as we can to draw attention to the atrocities that are taking at CCJ and the resources that people need to be given upon release. We created this fundraiser to raise funds for purchasing coats for recently released community members. The coats that are not given out on the day of the event will be given to the Chicago Community Jail Support group.
