Can you help us get Green Party candidate Susan Graham elected to Parliament for Christchurch?

Susan is a retired teacher, living in Southbourne. Having researched climate change and its impacts extensively for her MSc in Earth Science thesis, Susan is increasingly concerned about the government’s lack of urgent action to meet global climate goals and to mitigate the environmental and societal impacts of climate change. She firmly believes that working towards CO2 net zero with urgency, protecting the environment and social well-being go hand-in-hand. She therefore advocates clean energy, clean rivers and sea, maintaining an environment that sustains biodiversity, and making towns and cities resilient to the extreme weather events that climate change provokes - all of which promote food security, more jobs in a forward thinking country, a healthier economy, better public health and a safer environment for future generations.
In her spare time, Susan writes articles on climate change, plays the piano, and enjoys year-round swimming off Southbourne beach and horse-riding in the New Forest.
The Green Party does not participate in the system of legalised bribery and corruption that dominates UK politics. At the last general election, Labour and the Conservatives spent roughly £4 million pounds, more than 10 times the amount spent by the Green Party. Outside of election time Labour and the Tories outspend Greens by an even greater ratio.
In the last few years, the Conservative Party has received donations of at least £800,000 from private health care providers. Labour's Shadow Health Secretary Wes Streeting has personally received £175,000 linked to private health care providers.
The money MPs receive from sources like this and from people like Frank Hester and Lord Donoughue is conditional upon them advocating for those donors in Parliament, rather than for their constituents. This situation lies at the heart of so many terrible decisions made by both Conservative and Labour governments over the last 40 years.
However, by running efficient and effective campaigns Greens are now winning elections at a startling rate. Once people realise they have a Green candidate who will answer to them rather than to party execs and donors, they are ready to switch. Even in First Past the Post local elections Greens have been winning landslide victories like those seen last year in Bournemouth wards such as Moordown and Winton East. This is why there has been an astronomical growth in the number of Green Councillors across the UK:
With your help we can start to do the same, not just locally but nationally. We urgently need donations now. The General Election has been called and will take place on July 4.
We are delighted to confirm that Susan's deposit has been paid, and she is confirmed as the Green Party's candidate for Christchurch.
We still need to raise at least another £500 in order to get Susan's Green message out across the constituency.
All donations made on this page will go directly and in full to Susan's campaign in Christchurch.
If everyone who wants real change gives just £5, we can match the efforts of the other parties and offer a real, progressive alternative in Christchurch.
Thank you for your support.
