Austin Common Ground Relief formed in 2013 in response to a devastating flash flood in the Onion Creek region of southeast Austin, Texas. We were inspired by the original Common Ground Collective, which offered community-based mutual aid and support in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina,
Austin Common Ground Relief believes in working directly with affected communities in the aftermath of severe weather and climate disasters. We are an all-volunteer collective, and your donations will go directly to helping people in need. Our work is focused on underserved communities, including people of color, the disabled, LGBTQIA+ individuals, undocumented immigrants, residents of rural communities and others who are overlooked by or feel unsafe receiving aid from larger relief organizations.
We believe in full transparency and will share detailed accounting of where we spend every dollar donated. Thank you for supporting Austin Common Ground Relief!
