Everyone knows the rent is too high. 2019 is our chance to make a difference. The Upstate Downstate Housing Alliance is fighting for nine bills that would protect tenants from rising rents, landlord harassment, and unjust evictions.
But the real estate industry is working hard to block our bills. Tenants from across New York State have been traveling to the State Capitol all year to make sure that their efforts are not successful.
On June 4th, we're shutting down business as usual.
We're going to ask our elected officials: do you stand with tenants, or do you stand with slumlords?
Travel to Albany is expensive, and we're paying for busses for Tenants from all across the State. Donate to send tenant leaders to Albany to fight evictions, rent hikes, and landlord harassment.
