If just 150 people donate 10% of their $1400 stimulus ($140), we will exceed our campaign goal.
Tri-Cities TN/VA Mutual Aid is launching our #ShareYourStimulus fundraising campaign in order to raise money to sustain AND expand our community pantry through the end of the year.
All proceeds of this donation drive up to $20,000 will be used to provide food and household goods to members of our network through our weekly Community Outreach program and Mobile Pantry.
Anyone from the Tri-Cities TN/VA area who fills out our survey in need of food or household assistance will receive an assistance box, with no additional paperwork, income verification, or questions asked. Surveys can be filled out weekly. Dietary restrictions are fully accommodated, and we will fill each individuals specific item needs to the best of our ability.
Any donations received in excess of $20,000 will go into a fund to assist members of our community with rent, utilities and other financial assistance. Recipients of those funds must apply for assistance, and successful applicants will be chosen by our most dedicated volunteers based on pre-established criteria and priorities.
We know that many, many members of our community are relying on the federal stimulus packages to stabilize their own finances. Other members of our community, however, may find that they are receiving more stimulus money than they need. Such folks may wish to #ShareTheirStimulus with their neighbors who need it more. This campaign offers an opportunity for those community members to do just that.
The only way we can reach our goal is if everyone pitches in what they can. Whether you donate $1, $10, $100 or $1000, or if you simply share this donation page with your friends/family who may be able to donate, you are making the work of Tri-Cities TN/VA Mutual Aid happen.
If you are in need of assistance or want to donate pantry items to Tri-Cities TN/VA Mutual Aid directly, please fill out our survey at www.tcman.org/survey.
Thank you for being a part of this solidarity network in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia!
