(SVR) is a campaign driven by an unprecedented coalition of labor, faith leaders, community-based organizations and workers. SVR fights for the rights of tech’s “invisible workforce” and works to build a tech economy that works for everyone by raising wages, creating affordable housing, and growing our middle-class. Our most recent victories include raising the minimum wage to $15 by 2019 and passing Opportunity to Work – impacting 64,000 part-time workers – in the City of San Jose.
Your gift will help us to:
- Bring tech industry leaders to the table to discuss how we can partner to create better jobs in tech’s supply chain by holding contractors like food service and security companies accountable;
- Take the recently won workers’ rights laws around wages and hours and make them real by organizing workers and communities to make sure that employers follow the law; and
- Knock on doors in low-income neighborhoods to engage thousands of immigrants and people of color in our movement, building their solidarity with low-wage tech workers and developing their leadership on the policy issues that matter most in their lives.
