The Mural story:
The day is finally upon us: after a year of hard work by the community and Mural Justice Project, we have a deal with the DOE to RESTORE THE MURAL!
While the DOE is funding the bulk of this glorious victory for our kids (and the original Muralists!), we have a ways to go to ensure we can complete the project on time and compensate our Artists fairly.
PLEASE help us across the finish line so that our students and community know when the school year begins that they will not be censured or silenced: that their voices matter.
Please note that any funds remaining after the Mural Restoration budget is met will go towards the Second Annual Freedom to Dream Day on October 1st, where the Mural will be formally dedicated.
