Albany, GA Huddle Group

Albany, GA
The Albany GA Huddle Group is a non-violent social and political action group. We are newly forming and still working to create our mission. We take guidance from many social and political action group, particularly the organizers of the Women's March on Washington (https://www.womensmarch.com/) and are participating in their 10 actions in 100 days campaign. This is not a women's only action group..., we welcome people of all genders to participate in our Calls to Action. To that end, we also welcome people of all cultures, ethnicities, religions, and LGBTQ-identified people. We are non-partisan but our action agenda's will mirror the democratic and independent agenda’s.

The agenda of the Albany, Ga Huddle Group is as follows:

- For members to become educated about political and social issues happening in Albany and/or Southwest Georgia by attending County Commission meetings, Board of Education meetings, and other community meetings and events.

- To educate our community members by sharing information that we learn about social and political issues in the community.

- To help register voters and alleviate barriers between voting eligible citizens and the voting polls

- To reach elected officials and have our voices heard through Lobby Day’s in Atlanta, going to our local elected officials offices, and calling and writing our elected officials on issues we care about.
