The Bergen Green Space is a collective alternative to privatized space. We are turning 733 Bergen St., a long neglected lot in Brooklyn, NY into a versatile outdoor community center. At Bergen Green local residents, workers and the general public can access a beautiful greenspace, free basic services, educational opportunities, and the resources necessary to collectively organize. We are pushing against absentee ownership, speculation, the threat of profit-driven development and displacement while calling for democratic, community-driven land use.
