We support the work of Planned Parenthood because it prioritizes women's lives, children's lives, and families. The single most precious thing for the future of any human possessing female reproductive organs is the right to decide for her/him/them self when & whether to have children. We will not go back and we will never make apologies for this most basic of human requirements. Here in the United States of America, the richest country in the world, we are facing a crisis in women's healthcare:

- We are fighting to save safe and legal access to abortion care at the same time that we are battling rising maternal death and infant mortality rates, particularly among women of color.

- We are fighting to save safe and legal access to abortion care, at the same time that we are battling crises in education, particularly in minority communities, voting rights, immigrants rights, disability rights, LGBTQ+ rights, etc., and the right to worship however we choose, including the right not to worship at all.

- We are fighting to save safe and legal access to abortion care, at the same time that we are battling gender-based violence, including rampant rape/sexual assault/sexual harassment, domestic violence, and the murder of trans women.

- We are fighting to save safe and legal access to abortion care, at the same time that we are fighting an economy in which women must pay taxes on feminine care products, in which women lose pay for time off work when they are sick, including when caring for family members (old and young), in which they must pay out of pocket for basic healthcare needs, for childcare, including for early childhood education, birth control, and in which women live on an average of $14,000 annually after they retire, because they spend much of their lives caring for children and aging parents.

These battles transcend race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, ability, etc., but we must acknowledge that when women live at the intersection of several of these factors, they are more likely to face limitations in their access to income, education, opportunity, and basic healthcare.

Our economy is set up to sabotage and blame women (as if we create life in a vacuum, all by ourselves), and to penalize our children. We know, however, that when women prosper - when the autonomy, liberty, and sovereignty of ALL women, all humans, is a foundational principle - our families prosper. We believe that healthcare is a human right, that birth control is healthcare, that abortion care is healthcare, and that all human beings deserve education, opportunity, prosperity, and safety, regardless of where they live or where they're from.
