Save Casa Pirata

Washington, DC

Our house, Casa Pirata, has for years been an intentional safe space for LGBTQ and POC folks. We share a dedication to racial justice, LGBTQ equality and intersectional feminism. We've been a home for trans women of color, activists, drag queens, burners, members of Occupy DC, and more.

But we need help to keep this community going. Unfortunately we've had several threats of eviction and utilities being cut off after housemates moved out without paying rent or utilities, without notifying us or the landlord. All donations will go to pay rent and utilities left unpaid by old housemates so current housemates can continue living here.

Please help us preserve our house's history and keep it as a safe space for all--whether you come here to party for a night, crash on the couch while visiting DC for a protest, or living here while fighting the good fight against the system.
