Starting December 12, 2022, Azerbaijan has imposed a cruel blockade on the only road connecting Nagorno-Karabakh to the outside world - the "life road". This has caused a severe humanitarian crisis for the Armenian population in the region, leading to shortages of food, medicine, fuel and other essential items. Schools and kindergartens have been shut down and basic food items are rationed. To make matters worse, Azerbaijan has also cut off electricity lines from Armenia, leaving the population with power rationing in the middle of a harsh winter. These actions are a clear continuation of Azerbaijan's policy of ethnic cleansing against Armenians.

The goal of this group is to raise awareness about the dire humanitarian situation in Nagorno-Karabakh/Artsakh and to create international pressure on Azerbaijan to end the inhumane and illegal blockade. We are calling on the international community to take action and support the Armenian people in their time of need."
