Lake, Porter, LaPorte, Jasper, Newton Counties in Northwest Indiana

We marched in Washington DC. We marched in Indianapolis, in Chicago, and in Valparasio! We had a lot of fun and we made a lot of noise. We got the attention of our lawmakers. Now it's time to let them know we really mean business.

Do you want to live in the 4th most depressed/ depressing state in the country? NO! Do you want to live in the state with the worst voting record in the country? NO! Do you want to live in a state with the most conservative legislature? NO! Do you think those statistics are related? YES!

Okay, then, let's do something about that. We can make Indiana a better state. We can make our legislature more responsive to the people. Hoosier Women will coordinate and collaborate with other action groups and develop partnerships wherever we find willing partners. We will reach out to our neighbors, co-workers, and others in a positive way to present our perspectives and points of view in an open and respectful manner. Because that's how you change hearts and minds. By talking and listening, not by pushing and shouting.
