NVDA Islington 23-25 September

Non Violent Direct Action is planned in Islington in the three days before Full Council on 26 September. In common with XR Groups across London on 9 September we presented three reasonable demands to the council. You can read them here. The response from the Council has not been encouraging and we need to draw residents attention to the 'Business as Usual' attitude of too many of our elected Council and to encourage them to attend the meeting on 26 September. These will be non arrestable actions carried out after detailed consultation with the police. Details below. And they will look something like this. Filmed on 7 September as part of the North London Uprising at Turnpike Lane

With October 7 less than three weeks away, if you have yet to experience the transformative power of taking part in non violent direct action this is your chance. And if you have concerns about the police, listen to this polish officer explain to an angry member of the public why he is upholding the right to lawful protest.

We will be at Old Street Roundabout at 5.30pm on September 23rd, at the Angel Junction at 1pm on September 24th and at Highbury Corner at 5.30 on September 25th.

And then of course at Islington Town Hall to ask the Council :
