It's Time to Go Local-  Oak Ridge Huddle

This group is brand new and a direct result of our collective desire to see a city, county, state, country and world that is just and inclusive for ALL! We are channeling our passion for the democratic principles our nation was founded upon into coordinated action! We are demonstrating true patriotism and love of country and love of others by being a counterbalance to the persistent misrepresentation of our nation and demoralization of our neighbor!

Anger may have motivated us, but hope for and work toward a better future will sustain us!

We have chosen to focus our immediate efforts on 3 issues:

1. The White House conflict of interest and release of the president's tax records. Congress has the power to act and this isn't an infomercial! We want them to understand this is our expectation. This includes participation in the April 15, 2017 Tax March.

2. Participation in the "Let the People Speak to Power" Conclave organized by the Women's March Coalition on March 6, 2017 at 6:00 pm. We want to work in a coordinated effort with other groups in our area and around the country! We are stronger together!

3. We must develop and support strong local leaders that stand and fight for the ideas, beliefs and world we want to see realized! We will focus on the work to have strong candidates in future elections. Therefore, we will participate in the Anderson County Democratic Party meeting March 25, 2017 at noon.

We will continue to meet, organize, work and grow! We will support the work of other Huddles and like minded groups in our area and around the country! We will look for opportunities to amplify these messages so our neighbors are encouraged and our elected officials know what we expect!
