Jim is running because the Lehigh County District Attorney's office has not seen a change in over twenty years and employs the failed “tough on crime” policies of the 1980’s. This failure to challenge the status quo, to address a fundamentally broken system, has led Lehigh County to being among the top committing counties in the Commonwealth, with one of the highest rearrest rates, re-incarceration rates, and overall recidivism rates in Pennsylvania.

Lehigh County can do better — for our residents, families, and the great breadth of communities that make our county what it is. By diverting more cases, increasing community engagement with the District Attorney's Office, removing barriers to re-entry, and focusing on serious crimes, our goal is to break the cycle of recidivism, lower the burden of over-incarceration on taxpayers, and improve the overall well being of our community.
