The Leonard Peltier Official Ad Hoc Committee was established in 2023 in response to a hostile takeover of his previous defense organization, the International Leonard Peltier Defense Committee. He no longer has any control of that organization and doesn't have access to the funds that they continue to raise in his name.

The Official Ad Hoc Committee is the only organization authorized by Mr. Peltier to raise funds in his name.
