The majority of Americans want a ceasefire in Gaza. The majority of Americans believe in equal rights for everyone regardless of race, ethnicity, or religion. The State of Israel is committing war crimes in Gaza on our dime, while denying the civil and national rights of Palestinians in all of Palestine. No more. If our government won’t represent us on this issue, we will put it to a direct vote.

Because Israel’s war machine is dependent on the United States’ weapons and money, we have the capacity, right, and responsibility to stop the violence today by making our government impose a ceasefire and push for equal rights. Even if Pittsburgh is one city, we can send a powerful message about the management and allocation of our public resources. We are calling on our city to invest only in companies that refuse to profit from war crimes.

We are working to gather 25,000 signatures from registered voters in the City of Pittsburgh to put a referendum on the ballot to make Pittsburgh divest from Israel.
