North Branch Works (NBW) is the leading community development organization in the North Branch and Addison Industrial Corridors. Our Mission is to retain and expand industry and businesses located in the North Branch and the Addison Industrial Corridors (on the near north and north sides of Chicago) as well as the Kennedy Industrial Corrido) and to connect local residents (with a focus on the needier residents) located in the surrounding communities with training and jobs at firms nearby.

For over 30 years, our local expertise and deep city and neighborhood relationships have helped promote environmentally sustainable economic development intrinsically linked to workforce development and job creation. NBW emphasizes new growth, proper land use and area revitalization through its business advocacy and innovative solutions. We achieve our mission by training disadvantaged unemployed and underemployed workers, enabling them to acquire marketable job skills and the opportunity to get local jobs with good wages.
