POMOC

POMOC is a grassroots political home for Eastern European migrants living in the UK to organise together towards dignity, power and justice. We build power among people with marginalised genders (women, queer, trans, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming people) and work in solidarity with other marginalised communities.

POMOC envisions a world where all people have the freedom to thrive socially, economically, politically and culturally where they live. This is a world in which: we have the freedom to move, we can affirm our bodies and identities for ourselves, and have the power and resources to determine our futures on our own terms.

What we do:

Direct support: We provide multilingual support on how to assert your rights in the UK, including immigration, housing and workers rights.

Political education: We run projects that deepen community knowledge on social issues, such as anti-racism and LGBTQIA+ rights.

Campaigns: We mobilise our communities towards action to win policies and transform our lives.

Leadership development: We provide support to our community members to develop powerful and creative organising projects across the UK
