Restore Venice Blvd.

Los Angeles, CA

We are a group of neighbors from Mar Vista, Venice, Culver City and beyond who are all affected by the lane reductions on Venice Blvd.  We have come together to form a coalition to campaign against this unsafe street project implemented by Councilman Mike Bonin, Mayor Eric Garcetti, the Mar Vista Community Council, LADOT and the L.A. Great Streets Initiative.

The group who have implemented this project did so with the representation of opinions of very few stakeholders, and without being upfront about the planned changes for the street.

This project has proven to be unsafe, unpopular and poorly designed. We are asking for Venice Boulevard to be returned to its original configuration. We want a truly GREAT STREET, not an experiment on our livelihoods . The city needs to include all Venice Blvd. stakeholders when they go back to the drawing board and create a smarter, safer street that meets the needs of EVERYONE using it.

Restore Venice Blvd is a project of the Westside Los Angeles Neighbors Network.
