Hundreds Arrested in the UK as We Want to Live Campaign Kicks Off

September 1st marked the first week of protest for the We Want To Live campaign in the UK this month. Ten days of action are planned, and already hundreds of arrests have taken place. See some of the coverage here.

Portland We Want to Live Campaign Lands at Pioneer Square

A small band of less than 20 rebels took to the streets Thursday afternoon, during rush-hour to block the biggest main artery of the Portland Downtown area. XR Rebels brought attention to the climate emergency, interacted with the public, and spread awareness about the upcoming September 21st action.

Extinction Rebellion accumulated a whopping 200 arrests on Lambeth bridge, bringing the total number of arrests for the 3rd up to 300. Read more in this here.

The National Date for We Want to Live is Approaching Fast.

Extinction Rebellion America is making preparations now for a national day of action. On September 21st, XRA groups all over the country will be taking to the streets to demand climate action. Make sure you RSVP and get some friends together. Forming a XRA chapter, or affinity group, is the best way to ensure the day will be a success. Find out how by e-mailing adelaide@xramerica.org

Attending a national XRA welcome talk, or a local mobilizer sponsored talk, is the best way to get into XRA. It's just an hour of your time, via zoom. It's also a great way to meet your local mobilizers and other activists in the area.
