Yalla brooklyn is a membership-based grassroots organization working to center, support, and uplift underrepresented voices in South Brooklyn's political landscape. We build up leadership capacity, organizing skills, and electoral representation to explicitly empower immigrants, non-English speakers, people of color, women, youth, and queer and/or trans- identified people. We advocate for issues that are not currently prioritized, such as truly affordable housing, voter empowerment, ending racist policing and Islamophobia, and climate justice.
