Act Now: Keep Housing in the 2026 Budget

While Congress is working on their 2026 budget, the White House has shared their priorities in its Discretionary Budget Request, which includes dramatic cuts to programs that benefit Americans.

We are deeply concerned about the proposed $33 billion cut to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) which in 2024 alone provided over $723 million here in Orange County for life-saving and critical housing assistance and supportive services.

We need YOUR voice to speak up for our community and tell your Members of Congress how important HUD is and request them to protect it in the ongoing debates over the 2026 budget.

We've drafted a message for your lawmaker’s offices and we strongly encourage you to take a minute to add any personal material (it goes a long way!) to help advocate for the budget to supporting solutions to homelessness.
