TAKE ACTION NOW! The genocide in Palestine is escalating and our city continues to remain silent. Tell the City Council of Alexandria, VA to make a public call for a ceasefire in Gaza and an end to the genocide of the Palestinian people across the Occupied Territories which is being waged by Israel and the United States. Alexandria’s own Human Rights Commission recommended Council pass a ceasefire resolution twice, once in March of 2024, an entire year ago, and then in January of this year. Despite 16 months of public pressure demanding our city stand up for Palestinian human rights, they have not so much as publicly acknowledged those letters.
